The hotel offers a mix of positives and negatives. The rooms, though clean and featuring comfy beds, appear a bit outdated. The noise from the room above was a downside. On the bright side, the shower was excellent. The service started a bit aloof but improved, with very friendly staff. The location is great for exploring the island, with easy access to the best beach. The dining experience had its highs and lows, and the facilities are satisfactory.
For the price I paid, the hotel was very reasonable with lovely garden views. My stay was made even more special when my mother reconnected with an old friend after 70 years. The housekeeping staff took good care of us and the facilities met my expectations.
The hotel is ideally situated in a quiet area near the coast and just on the edge of Gorey village. The rooms were nice, clean, and the beds very comfortable, although it was a bit hot during my stay. The staff were friendly and professional, even though there was a slight initial aloofness. The location was excellent, perfect for exploring Gorey and enjoying the nearby Pembroke pub. The dining experience was mostly good, with some minor room for improvement in ingredient quality. Overall, a great value for the price paid.
